Michael Ong
Michael holds a Master of Laws in Estate Planning (LL.M.) degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He received his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, and BA degrees in Economics and History from the University of Dallas.
He founded the Ong Law Firm more than Twenty years ago to focus exclusively on advising individuals and families on their estate planning needs and goals. He also helps implement estate plans by advising Executors and Trustees on the proper administration of Will and Trust instruments. Related to this area of concentration, he also represents parties in disputes regarding estate planning document. He has argued probate and Trust cases at all levels of the State Court system, including Kansas Supreme Court cases involving the law of undue influence, constructive trusts, the probate claims statute, and the Prudent Investor Act.
Michael is a frequent CLE presenter on estate planning, Trust administration, and probate maters. He is the author of the Probate and Trust Litigation Chapter of the Kansas Estate and Trust Administration Handbook published by the Kansas Bar Association. He is also a trained mediator for Will and Trust disputes, and received mediation training though the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine School of Law.
He is admitted to practice in the States of Kansas and Missouri
